The Project

The 230,000 sqft commercial centrepiece of the Knight Dragon Greenwich Peninsula regeneration masterplan is the Design District, a cluster of 16 artistically inspired buildings designed by a collection of eight separate practices, each working on two buildings.

The Design District is London’s first purpose built district designed for the creative industries.

Arranged into seven distinct sub-districts, the development provides vibrant clusters of affordable workspaces, galleries, studios, incubators, start-ups, retail and food and beverage across the 1.08 hectare plot.

Our Involvement

As Design Destrict consisted of 16 individual buildings, it required a project per building on our system as well as separate projects for both the Health & Safety file and the Landscaping and Public Realms manuals. Managing 18 projects really highlighted the importance of both the speed of navigation in Exaprojects as well as the data migration features. Switching between projects happens in a fraction of a second allowing for immediate access to desired information. Along with that, all manner of data, including users, correspondence templates, permission sets, etc. were created once then easily migrated from one project to another.

As part of our commitment to transparent pricing as well as our policy of unlimited storage and users, the need for 19 separate projects incurred no extra fee for our customer.
